one thing we have to stop doing is those horrible momentum swings where we give up 3 goals. anything lower and we come back but that's rough and gives them a lot of confidence

Who is up on the depth chart with Comeau out? Robertson?

Robertson would be a good choice to round out the lineup.

The last few minutes was phenomenal hockey on both sides. Really, really enjoyable.

I'd rather see Dellendrea. He's ready.

Dellendrea is peskier, so he'll probably play. Robertson is just a fatter Dickinson until proven otherwise.

My guess is Dowling. Because he’s older and brings nothing

So we know Dowling has scored at least once, that puts him ahead of Sekera and Cogliano.

This was one of those valuable losses that you learn from quickly and move on to the next game. Albeit said lesson is one that we’ve had to absorb multiple times this year, but a painful friendly reminder every now and then can be a good thing LOL. Live by the Stars, die by the Stars.

That might sound stupid, but I almost prefer being at 1-1 rather than having a 2-0 lead that could put you in some overconfidence and release somehow the pressure and focus, even subconsciously.

You end up with a tight loss in a game you could have won without shooting yourself in the foot. Learn from it, try not to repeat those mistakes (I know...) and find other options to enter the zone when Tampa is waiting at four players on the blue line, which annoyed the Stars pretty much. If this is the best Tampa can show, then I'm not frightened at all. Generally speaking, I find this series a tone below the one vs. Colorado and Vegas so far.

And we still have the last-change advantage for what it's worth...

With Comeau down, now the team has to find the correct replacement to take silly penalties and slo-mo hockey. I'm willing to go with a young gun à la Kirivanta, but I'm pretty sure Dowling will be in.

Comeau is a big loss. He may not score but he prevents the other team from scoring, frustrates their best players and beats them up. And speaking of, the Stars are finally looking a bit banged up from the whole experience. Both teams really, but it’s the first time the Stars look worn.

Going down 3-0 in a game at this point is just too difficult to overcome, even for the Stars.

Still, was a good game.

This.

And come on guys - give Janmark a little credit. He was in the perfect position with his stick in the perfect position. Klingberg hit him with a perfect pass. And it wasn't a breakaway, so he had that going for him. :D

Did you notice Kucherov's behavior? The guy was slumping his ass like a beaten dog, making no second effort. The typical fair weather player. He's one of the most talented in the league but only if things are going in the right direction. But then yeah, we saved him and gave him some bones. Just continue to target him. And Point as well.

What's kind of funny is that exactly one of Tampa's four goals in the series has not gone in off a Stars' player.

When I saw that pass from Klingberg to a stationary Janmark, I couldn't help but think of the Glen Sather quote claiming a fire hydrant could score 40 goals playing on Gretzky's line.

I think I figured out where we went wrong here/why the comeback fell short. I forgot to post “Time to protect the 3/2-goal deficit!”. I won’t let you boys down again LOL.
