I don't think they play him much. To be fair, he's still raw and makes some silly decisions.
Benching him during 4 on 4s when losing is an odd decision.
The announcers were mystified but I thought that was a "settle down" move. not sure i agree with it but whatever this coach does seems to work so....

I woke up the kids.
Also the neighbors. And their kids too just to make sure everyone knew what happened.

Time for the Islanders to go to work. Drag it out to seven games. Multiple OTs, please.

That *fargin'* door isn’t going to open itself. It’s an important job.

I don't know if anyone else felt this way, but despite dominating in zone time it was hard for me to feel "scared" of Vegas's offense compared to Colorado. I always thought they weren't that great at it. Even their two goals today were transition goals on defensive gaffes and over aggressive pinching. Their offense just wasn't scary coming off the boards.
I firmly believe that shots aren't everything and that team was a great example.

Yeah I thought their offense was underwhelming. In an elimination game you expect them to throw everything they have at you and all they could muster was 2 goals.

Agreed. This game was scary in the sense the Stars generated little offense, but Vegas wasn’t capable of putting the game away.

Apparently, CBC said Gurianov’s shot was 110 mph.

And Despite Vegas's second goal, the Stars were trending to be the better team on the ice since the end of the second period, finally finding quality scoring chances.

They were really good/great at skating and passing and cycling, but they seem to lack finishers.

Yes. I honestly felt they played an amazing team game but just lacked some skill at finishing.
Their PK was the best I've seen.

According to my Googlefu the fastest ever (before?) was a Chara slapper at nearly 109 mph.

If you’re going to pick one thing in hockey to be good at, finishing one-timers like that is a good choice.

Boy he almost had another in transition too. That would've been a beauty.

We’d probably be up 3-0 in the finals already if we had a decent coach.

For all the NBC slobbering on MacKinnon, Colorado’s first line is insane. They’re just unstoppable when they’re on. Vegas doesn’t have anyone like that.

They had to be the favorites after St. Louis had the injuries and went out early.
If they had anything like Vegas's coverage.... *poo poo*. But they really did not know how to cheat their asses off when we were in the offensive zone until late in the series.

Also Martin Frk (yes, no vowel in his name) of Ontario Reign. I think it was 109 mph as well.
But these were in steady pucks. When you receive a pass, your stick absorbs the force of the puck before releasing it, hence transmitting a higher energy to it. I do believe that 108 mph is possible.
