The linesman called the icing before the Avs defender even got to the hash marks. Officials saving time for the Avs.

Nice to see Sekera hit MacKinnon.

I think we can win this series if the Stars continue scoring their magic number of 5 goals a game and Benn keeps matching MacKinnon's points output.

I want to be the guy in charge of pressing the button that makes the crowd roar when there's a good scoring chance.

That team was weird because because you get to relax for 3 minutes and then experience abject panic for 1 minute when the first line is on.

Did MacKinnon even have a scoring chance in the 3rd?

Heiskanen/Oleksiak >>> MacKinnon

No, although honestly a huge part of it was team shot blocking. They were open, but everyone was jumping in front of the puck including forwards.

Bowness now has the best playoff win percentage in Stars history.

I mean, maybe he does. Looking that up would require too much effort for me.

Even when they were on their crazy long win streak over the middle third of the season, they weren’t generating anywhere near this many scoring chances.

It was also nice to see an aggressive forecheck. I wonder if they did finally flip the switch on that.

The Avalanche looked embarrassed, they made lots of mistakes. Their defense struggled especially when Johnson went down. Outside their first line I'm starting to think that their depth will be major issue for them longterm. As long as the Stars stay out of the box, play smooth in defense and don't force plays, they can cause serious trouble in the Avs gameplan.

I would almost certainly bet he does.

In addition, his crazy yet brilliant coaching style has now lead us to become the highest scoring team in the playoffs (tied at least).

Someone needs to tell Bowness that his patented brand of high-octane, jet-fueled offensive explosion hockey will never win a championship. Only defense does that.

Riley and Jonesy in Letterkenny aren't parody. They're the most true to life characters in the show.

I was really hoping that video would go from person to person like Letterkenny locker room scenes.

Big Val had the lowest ice time of either team. 8:40.

Does this game count in your tally of playoff games the Stars have won when he's in the lineup?

This is the first year since 2008 they've made the playoffs without him playing 10+ games. Had Kung Flu not broken their losing streak...

He's still being paid by the Stars due to the buyout. Considering he matched last year's goal total for the Stars, maybe that's how the streak stays alive.

You know what's funny? I noticed him for one shift in the third. But that play wasn't bad. They could've scored on that.

Well, McKinnon was scary on every shift, and he still broke through, but the Stars did a great job defending. Also thought the Avs didn’t help their cause with their sloppy play.
