Looks like Tampa is already planning their parade.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Re: 2020 Stars RR & Playoff Thread
So I came across an article that ranked all of the teams from Blades of Steel, and it kinda seems like destiny now that the top ranked Edmonton team looks like the Stars LOL. Go Bubble Stars!

Oleksiak's 5 goals tie him with Modano's '99 total.

Miro remains our playoff scoring leader with 23 points (5G 18A) in 22 games now.
He’s tied for 3rd on this list after tonight (and is the only defenceman):

Let's talk about depth, baby. With Me So Hanley and The Dick popping their cherries tonight, these remaining Stars have yet to score a goal:
Janmark
Cogliano
Sekera
*Fedun
*Johns

If the Stars were to win this next series then I'd be forced to think back on 2020 as a magical and awesome year.

Re: 2020 Stars RR & Playoff Thread
For what it’s worth, and it’s prolly nothing LOL, but the team that wins Game 1 of the SCF has won the Cup 76% of the time.
In 1981 “we” lost Game 1.
In 1991 “we” won Game 1.
In 1999 we lost Game 1.
In 2000 we lost Game 1.
In 2020 we won Game 1 ...

Dallas lost its previous two Cup Finals game 1s and have a 50% record from it.
Winning game 1 is new territory.
(I did not follow the North Stars)

The list is probably an interesting one if you ask who hasn't scored since the Calgary series, which wrapped up over a month ago.
Edit: Actually, I’m wrong. Only Perry gets added to the list.

Heisky has really been struggling out there these last two series, especially on offense. It wouldn't surprise me if the beatings he took from the Avs and Knights finally caught up with him.

Possibly. I hope that’s the case. Or maybe his hot streak came to an end, so he’s back to playing more like he has over the last two season.

It could also be that Bowness has reined him in. He almost never streaks into the middle of the offensive zone anymore like he did in the Flames and Avs series.
I hope he does, tho, because it really looked like the Lightning expect everything to come from the boards, where they cut us off every time. All our offense and scary chances came from attacking the middle of the ice.

I was thinking he was playing reined in or tentative too. Playing simple and safe like he played all of last year.

I doubt it’s coaching. Why would they tell him to stop when he was driving so much offense and never getting burned for doing so?

Same reason he only put up like 32 points in the regular season. That's his "role".

Also, neither Bishop nor Khudobin got as much as a single third-place vote for the Vezina. Despite, you know, being demonstrably better than nearly every goalie in front of them in every single stat (except wins).
