A more difficult one. Remember those two ? (first one is a no-brainer, but the second one is tougher to find). Their common points:

- Both spent 10+ years with the Canadiens, winning the cup in 1993
- Both joined the Stars at the end of their respective careers
- Both currently work as consultants in the same hockey broadcast

This one's easy. Sean Avery and Chambers. Nailed it.

I could figure this out in 3 seconds with Google but I won't.

Carbo and Muller was my first thought. Muller is still coaching, though.

You got Carbo. Kirk Muller is good guess but it's not him.

So Benoit Brunet.
What a crap year it was when he played here. We missed the playoffs, Hitchcock got fired, and we had to put up with Donald Audette.

Yes sir. And I totally forgot he played for the Stars before I accidentally fell on this

It was also the year Jim Montgomery played for the Stars. I think he also played a bit in 02-03, but only a little bit.

Oh, I hated him, but he was electric.

Bure had a pretty short peak, but he should be in the discussion for one of the greatest scorers of all time, just a tick below Gretzky and Ovechkin. Bure was scoring video game numbers in the middle of the worst of the dead puck era.

Had the occasion to see him play back in 1990 during the World Champs in Switzerland. He was still wearing the grid protector, looked like a kid but was already so dominant.

Related to Pavel Bure, remember this ?

Even his last season in the NHL had him finish 11th in goals per game. He had become a bit of a joke for how he put in less defensive effort than disconnected controller Ovechkin, but he was still awesome at his one trick even to the end.

The only memory I have of Bure is that Churla elbow. I know he was a great scorer but I literally remember none of his goals.

The maybe third or fourth goal in the clip was of Bure dropping the puck to his skate and kicking it back to his stick to get around the goalie. When he scored that goal, the hockey world went crazy because no one had done it before.

I used to have the 1992 NHL Awards (hosted by Alan Thicke) on tape, and to this day I still say Pat Quinn in a Russian accent the way Bure did when he accepted the Calder LOL. It's the little things.

Here's a fun fact: Marc Methot and Martin Hanzal both ended up playing exactly 45 games each for the Stars (LOL). Hanzal had 6 goals and 6 assists, Methot had 1 goal and 2 assists, combining for a whopping 15 points for 24 million paid in salary.

It's almost like paying old and slow guys isn't a good idea. But then again, Nill is from Detroit where they don't know any other way.

Steven and your brother will tell you that it's because we never expected on signing Radulov, Bargainbin fucked up on that one and he ended up becoming available only after we had already signed Hanzal. If we had signed Rads first, we wouldn't have signed Martin.

Couldn't find that one, but found this "gem" from 1988.
