Does anyone care when an Original Six team comes to town?

I think you mean Arbitrary Six.

I agree to split the FCC line -- they are still doing a good job vs. top lines but that line used to bring near-absolute zero in offense.

For the rest, Pavelski will anchor Gurianov and Hintz, Dowling with Janmark and Cogliano in the ceiling fan line and Perry back on the fourth with the two sleepy guys.

Let's see if we stick to the same ol' October *poo poo*.

Mackinnon got injured last night, and Colorado already has huge injury problems. They’re ripe for the plucking in the first round if we don’t blow the 3rd seed.

Both CO and STL lost last night, but that didn't seem to matter the other day, so, just holding onto 3rd is all one can hope.

Maybe Bowness can lead this team to loser point leapfrog their way to 2nd.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

There was that one stretch of games where they actually produced offense. Otherwise yeah, they are never really any threat to score. Cogliano is such an offensive black hole. That's probably why Bowness plays him so much.

Cogliano has had the least TOI of late. Just about 11 minutes.

Yeah, but his ice time in Bowness' dreams is 69 minutes.

Given this TOI, I'd say Bowness' fantasies.

Spotting the other team a goal to start a game is going to make it harder to win 1-0.

Face-off, Seguin, turnover, Rangers goal, all that in the first 19 seconds. Not bad.

Bishop's body language says all. Maybe we're ahead of some great trouble.

Comeau loses the puck and then tries to play defenseman... poorly. So bad he has the Rangers laughing about how stupid the second goal was.

A Janmark breakaway is hockey blue balls.

A Janmark breakaway shouldn't even count as a scoring chance. What a crap showing by the Stars so far.

A 3-on-1 and you end up with a wrister in the middle of the chest. Really...?

I don't know how the Stars could score a goal in this game. I really don't.

What’s the franchise record for longest team scoreless streak? Asking for a friend.

My lord, this third goal was even worse. The efforts to get the puck out of the zone were dreadful, and after the turnover, no one bothered to play defense.

They are playing like dogshit.

Down 3-0, in desperate need of offense, and the FCC line starts in the offensive zone?

*f-bomb* off, Bowness.

So far, I got a 194-mn span back to the 2011-2012 season and the tremendous Gulutzan period. I'm still looking back.

Update:

1) Minnesota North Stars 1987-1988: 262:03 (3 shootouts in a row)
2) Dallas Stars 2011-2012: 194:11 (2 shootouts in a row)

Time to start looking in the AHL for a spark, I guess. They need to try something new.

What’s the latest into a season a playoff team made a coaching change? I feel like Lou Lamorello made a switch near the end of a Devils season.
