Bold prediction after the first period: Stars ahead in SOG 34-1, 17-0 in scoring chances, 5 PPs, 3 penalty shots, no PK, and 0-0 in the scoreboard.

Early pm games sucks.

Colorado and St. Louis both lost last night, so this is a perfect chance to squander an opportunity to make up some ground.

Guess we won't hear from low energy Jamie Benn for a while.

I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Concerned enough to close the locker room but not concerned enough to close the arena.

Players won't get sick from the fans.

Seguin demoted to the 4th line with Benn and Dowling. Maybe this will send a message and get him going.

The good news is that of the fans in attendance today perhaps as few as 0.6% will have died of the virus by next season.

Rads out today, but Dowling should be able to fill his role of not scoring for a month.

The Stars are playing the puck like it recently returned from a trip to Italy.

That first PP perfectly summarizes the Stars state of mind: no urgency, laziness and zero confidence. Nobody in front of the net, no separation, bad execution, the puck holder systematically searching for a non-existing solution.

Could be a long afternoon...

Putting one of your least mobile players at the middle of the blue line is a damn strange setup. If there is a turnover, Pavelski isn’t getting back. He’s not going to cover any ground side to side to keep pucks in..

Then near the end of his shift, Pavelski goes down to the front of the net to park in front of Benn. This means two guys aren’t available for passes and turns the PP into three guys trying to pass it around four defenders. If he’s going to head down there, Benn needs to back away and become a pass option.

I don’t get it

I'm just glad we finally have a coach who understands that hockey is a boring slog and not some sort of enjoyable form of entertainment.

The broadcast replaying Johns’s strange drive by body check was a bit mean.

Hintz trying to throw checks and just bouncing off of people is hilarious. I don’t know when he keeps trying to do it today.

Best game from Rads in ages. He has kept his scoring pace consistent while not taking any dumb offensive zone penalties.

I don't agree. We allowed twice less goals (and only one in PK) while scoring an infinite more.

Not a whole lot of offense. Few tough saves to make. Mostly shots into the chest or pads. No rebound chances. Lots of shots from distance into traffic.

Benn’s post game presser might be all time low energy. He’s rubbing his eyes while mumbling. He’s covering his mouth while talking. He’s scratching his ear while looking off at the ground.

So that's the captain of this team, the supposed leader that should show the path the follow and lead the troops.

I don't say to break all the sticks across his way, nor turning the whole locker room upside down, but c'mon geez... At least show that you're pissed, that would be a starting point.

Now the playoffs chase is even tighter, thanks to the Stars that put the slumping Preds with Duchene, Forsberg, Arvidsson and Ellis right on the tracks. We had the opportunity to bury them more than six feet into the ground, now they are aiming to lick our balls 'till the end. Not only with two back-to-back losses, but back-to-back shootouts.

Yeah, today was a must win in my mind, but the Stars didn’t show. Nashville looks like a playoff team.

I wonder if Nill is still happy with where this team is at.

Happy job hunting in May, pal.
