How does every goalie in the league not know at this point that’s his only breakaway move?

Most who saw it are retired.

Bishop is no Rinne, that led to the tying goal.

Normally, Pavelski's penalty should cost him the next 15 games in the press box.

I don’t think parking in front of the net is a good use of 3 on 3.

All three goals tonight were breakaways. That’s hilarious.

And there were like 4 other breakaways tonight but they were by people too slow or too spare to score.

I wonder if Roenick has apologized to Anson Carter for not considering him for a threesome.

Someone should tell Bowness that in home games he gets last change so he doesn't have to match Polak against Stamkos and Kucherov.

Wonder if this will help convince Bowness of the value of maintenance weeks for Benn.

Nice job by Polka holding the Lightning to 2 goals.

The team is winning (at times) in spite of Bowness, not because of him. He sucks. The trade deadline move should be to hire a new coach.

I'm still wondering which one of these versions below occurred:

Version A

Nill: Monty's fired. From now you're in charge for the season's remainder, no matter what. Questions ?
Bowness: uuhhh, no. Okay boss...

Version B

Nill: Monty's fired. OK for you to be in charge for the season's remainder ?
Bowness: Sure, no problem. Always wanted to be back as a head-coach.

According to hockey reference.

Bowness this season .639%
https://www.hockey-reference.com/coache ... ri01c.html

Montgomery this season .609%
Montgomery last season .567%
https://www.hockey-reference.com/coache ... ji01c.html

If being terrible keeps getting us wins at this pace then he can keep on being terrible.

I'd rather have Laviolette or Gallant over Bowness.

While I agree Perry is a liability, Gurianov is gonna have to earn the coaches’ trust. Guri was out there 4 on 4 with Dicky, which is a start. The tying goal was mostly on Bishop, he had a chance to clear there.

We should go back to the Hitch era when young players were far more trusted than they are today.

I mean we gave up two goals to Tampa Bay. Are we not over analyzing things just a bit?

We can take some lessons away from the game.

- Getting Heiskanen back fixed the defense.
- The PP still sucks. They had four powerplays totaling 6:47 in PP time. They generated two shots.
- Pierre Maguire was surprised to learn a Vezina candidate like Ben Bishop is able to move from side to side.
- They generated very few quality scoring chances through normal offensive zone cycling and pressure. All of their scoring chances came from breakaways, which worked and all but isn't a good way to try to win games.
- Blake Comeau needs to get his skate sharpened. Dude wiped out all on his own a few times.

I thought Pavelski for sure was the slowest skater on this team until I watched Comeau last night.

I don't know. That didn't seem like a representative game. We actually scored on breakaways.

I'm not sure which league you're watching but a defensive gem like that would make almost all coaches happy. TB is a good team. They were limited. The PP was pathetic, but again, TB pressured the eff outta them.

The inherent slowness of our team is not the coaches fault. Benn is slow, Pavelski is slow. Perry is slow. Comeau is not really that slow. Seguin has lost a step, and I don't think it is because he is concerning himself with only defense. He loses battles more than ever.

I thought last night the team came out ready to play. They were quick on the puck, that's not speed, but getting the puck and staying on TB with their sticks when the didn't have the puck. They had energy, they worked together.

And yes, Miro makes everything better.

That's not saying much. A dinosaur like Bowness would be happiest with 0-0 ties.

Maybe he should focus more on legs than his abs during his off season workouts.
