This is just a ploy to surprise us with the news that Zubov is the new head coach and Carbonneau was hired as his assistant.

Derian Hatcher is a better coach than Zubov.

I'd rather have Hull and Avery back there.

It’s time for Seguin to break out. One might even say, he’s overdueski. :CH

Klingberg clearly framed Benn and Pavelski with that shitty personal reasons leave excuse, just to put Fedun back in business in the Fedun-Benn-Pavelski scoring race.

Zubov hoped to see a good hockey game, for now he has it.

It's a constant thing by this team (besides Benn & co.'s production): a good period is always followed by an awful one. On the first goal, they lost at least 10 battles in their own zone and Comeau was not covering his guy. The second is the classical flukey goal by Bishop among an overall great game.

We'll take the loser point, the Stars didn't deserve more. But from Benn's tying goal to the OT loss, everything was wrong:

- putting the slowest players on the ice (Perry, Pavelski, Polak, Sekera) while Vegas was putting a lot of pressure in the Stars' zone
- It's ok to replace Janmark by Hintz, but why the *f-bomb* put again Pavelski with these two again in the defensive zone?
- Putting Heiskanen with Seguin and Benn in the OT instantaneously meant a loss. There's three important things during OT: puck possession, puck possession and puck possession. What they did? A suicidal rush while winning the so important first face-off, try again the all-in in the next round, make a terrible turnover and make a line change when Vegas regain the puck. Then happened was happened.

Bowness never experienced a 3 vs. 3 OT as a head-coach, hope he'll learn from this one because it was particularly ridiculous.

The big problem with the OT goal is at least one of them should have changed on their final rush up ice. Instead all three went up. It created a bad change.

I also think it was bullshit the Stars weren't able to change before the final faceoff. The net was knocked off by both an Star and Golden Knight crashing into it.

Way too early to know. But it would be interesting to see what happens in the organization if the Stars tank after firing Monty. Depending on what he did, firing him may have still been unavoidable, but it would be interesting to see. Nill would certainly be on the chopping block now since Monty was his hire.

Even in the NJ game, the Stars looked somewhat deflated and in this game they looked much worse.

Do you think the players thought about the Monty on Monty interview and decided they had had enough and needed to leave the ice at that exact moment during overtime?

One great period followed by *poo poo*. Saw no adjustments in the third even though Nelson is supposed to provide insight.

Fedun had a nice goal, but was then kinda terrible in his own end.

PP went back to having Seguin fire terrible shots on net.

Hintz was moved to the line with Benn and Seguin, which produced the tying goal. But long before that I did find myself hoping for the radical line changes Monty would have undoubtedly made starting in the second when it was apparent the Stars were losing the battles.

I don't exactly know what happened either. They really looked alive in the first and then all of a sudden they couldn't complete 5 foot passes. They came right out in that second period looking like they just ate Thanksgiving dinner. It happens I guess.

Barely beating the Devils at home in Bowness' debut, and then losing on Zubov/Carbo night to a team on the second night of a back-to back on the road playing their back-up ... just saying.
