He masturbated to Alexandra Daddario's True Detective nude scenes, but while at work. Got it.

I'm reserving judgment on Monty until I know exactly what he did.

It is actually possible they fired him for something some of us here have done before...which is scary to me.

Peter DeBoer is out in San Jose. He's pretty damn good at coaching.

You know, it’s pretty mean to fire a guy right now. Everyone is going to just assume you did something other than lose a lot of games.

Fun fact: 5 head coaches have been fired since the Detroit Red Wings last won a game.

Funner fact: the Red Wings coach is not one of those five.

So *fargin'* what? They were cracking jokes and having a good time. People have sex. Sex is funny sometimes. Get the *f-bomb* over it.

Sex is never funny for me. It is a serious act that requires a serious attitude. In fact, it is a great time to hold book discussions, perhaps even with a group of people.

Okay, fine, I'm part of a non-fiction book club orgy group.

I understand the national media trying to think there's something there. "The Ticket" does stuff on a daily basis that would get you shitcanned from an urban coastal radio station.

But I don't think that was the issue.

The interview is already out there. If that was it I think they’d just say so.

They expressly said it wasn't the interview. It's been confirmed by a number of reporters, including Friedman.

Holy *poo poo*, did y'all listen to the Seguin interview? Tyler knows what happened, and when asked if he agreed with the decision, he said that Nill is a great GM and he trusts whatever decision that Nill made.

That's different. Benn the other day acted really torn up about Monty.

Tyler also said it was being kept quiet to protect Monty’s family.

Seguin also said a lot of supportive stuff about liking Monty a lot.

I think the actual question was along the lines of "Do you think the firing was justified?" That's when he went in to the bit about having a lot of respect for Nill and trusting him.

I didn't get the impression that Seguin was happy about Monty being let go - he said he thought he was a good coach, etc.

My impression was kind of he wished whatever happened had not happened, because otherwise Monty is a good coach and good guy to be around. But that he maybe understood why the organization had to do what it did. Hopefully not reading too much in to his answers.

This is what scares me. If it's some piddly-ass *poo poo* that most of us wouldn't blink an eye at, I'm going to...continue drinking at the ever-increasing pace I would be if this didn't happen at all.

Yeah, this is a better summary than mine, but I was starving and wanted to eat my lunch.

As with Watchmen, Nill got the idea to fire Monty on Tuesday because Nill was also listening to the interview with Seguin this morning.

I meant the other one, but I love this theory even more.
