11/25 vs. Las Vegas — On the Blues' heels

However, each winning streak fatally comes to an end. So the more we win, the more we've got a chance to lose.

Right, but the Stars have never beat LVGK at AAC, tipping the odds just slightly.

Clever. Hintz can't outshine those guys if they're playing with him.

That assist by Cogliano is the strongest evidence yet that he’s still on the team.
Could of.

Good first period. Stars dominated and capitalized on their chances, Bishop made some key saves and PP numbers are now a bit less awful. They still need to be careful though, Knights can be a constant danger.

Stars are very well paid in a bad second period. They were in control but they shot themselves in the foot with indiscipline and Bishop's softie. Still they managed to score on their unique real scoring chance of the period.

It seems like they just check the piss out of teams with their speed and score in transition. What a concept.

Dammit. Blues eked out a point.

Also, this is the first time I even looked at their score. I can feel it.

97-99 pretty much had some really amazing streaks. None started with the Stars losing as much as they did at first, though.

I’m not sure this one includes him. He really only showed up about 5 games ago.

Yeah. It's hard to talk about because the start of the season was so soul crushing. Crazy to think the good run has now outlasted the bad run by quite a bit. There was all of the math done about how much they'd have to win to crawl back out of it and how it would be President's Trophy kind of winning to do so, and this team is on a run winning well beyond those amounts.

It's not like any one thing is carrying the team that you can point to and call unsustainable. The PP isn't going insane. Scoring isn't being done by a couple of guys on a hot streak. It's like all that's happened is everyone at the same time all started playing up to the level expected of them.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Guys, this is what competent goaltending feels like. I know we have collective Kari PTSD, but not having soul crushing goals is normal.

How long has Eskimo been sick? That might explain this thing.

The thought occurred to me when Hintz and Klingberg were coming back in, and looking at the current roster, I couldn't identify a single player who deserved to come out of the lineup to make room.

Great game. Very pacy. Even though Dallas led the whole game, it never felt like Vegas was out of it. They are quite plucky and have some really good players. I was grateful the Stars could keep up with their pace and style of play. And thankfully no Fluery last night. Stars actually have become relentless.

Just to be safe though, we should probably fire Nill and Monty before they ruin this good thing they’ve built.

Agree 100%. We also need to sell all of our good players while their value is at its peak. We don't want to look like chumps.

The Stars also scored 2 PP goals (over 3) which, I think, hasn't happened since the beginning of the season.

Having #1A / #1B goalies and a deep roster while seeing most of the other teams from above is quite a nice feeling. Some embarrassment of riches that many teams would like to have. Let's enjoy it while it's there because we will at some point lose two or three in a row later on.

Quietly, Oleksiak is having a great run. I like how he’s on opposing forwards

For most of the season he has been the best Jamie on the team.

I'm crediting Miro. Just playing near him is helping Oleksiak.
