This depth scoring thing. It baffles me. I am unused to it.

Such a balanced game, ice time, scoring, and Bishop was also pretty good. Yeah, this is a little scary.

I guess Dowling was the answer this whole time.

Benn's second goal was quite nice. It shows he can still shoot it well. So it makes me wonder, was the rest of this season just a mental thing?

We’ll have to wait until his next nice goal in February to know for sure.

After the next losing streak there will at some point be an awesome winning streak. I'm already looking towards that.

The lesson is someone in the Stars front office or coaching staff has to go public to question the efforts of Benn and Seguin to get them to play well. Clearly, this needs to happen opening night next season. Waiting a few weeks nearly tanked the season.

Yeah - sadly that seems to be what it takes. I wonder if Pavelski is going to turn out to be a good influence on them. Although folks within the organization tend to rave about Benn's leadership, I don't know if he had a ton of great examples that helped shape him. Most of the other veterans the Stars have brought in recently are role players - not former superstars/captains. Now that he's a quarter of the way in to the season, maybe Pavelski will become a louder voice in the room who can call out Benn and Seguin on their (presumed) bs.

And publicly criticizing the leaders is not enough.

I would suggest to beat them in the middle of a raucous crowd thirsty of warm blood while humiliating them in a very decadent and disgraceful way. Therefore Benn, Seguin & Co. should easily reach the 200-pt./season mark en route to finish the season with 150+ points in the standings.
