And the Flyers come into the game after a couple of days off.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Let's see if Monty will get Gallanted after this additional loss.

No way Nill fires him during the middle of a road trip.

But, could Gaglardi fire Nill mid-road trip? That's the more important question.

I'm starting to think this whole 'winning the offseason' thing might not be all it's cracked up to be.

Would rather it be 1-8-1. The management and majority of the fan base are so freaking deluded that any modicum of success will have them furiously posting all over the internet about how they were right about us being "OnE gOaL aWaY fRoM tHe CuP lAsT yEaR!!!!!!!!!"

With the Stars playing Pitlick tonight, I thought I’d check up on the forwards the Stars let go this summer:
Zuccarello - zero points in four games and on IR
Spezza - among the Leafs scratch and fourth line rotation
Ritchie - among the Bruins scratch and fourth line rotation
Nichushkin - among the Avs scratch and fourth line rotation
Pitlick - has played every game for the Flyers

The sad thing is the Stars clearly didn’t lose anything of value when they cleared out those four fourth liners, but it also looks like they didn’t do anything to improve what they had on the fourth line. I guess the guys they have now are a bit faster, but they aren’t all that much better.

lol at the people on reddit arguing that the Stars would have beaten the Sharks and Bruins last year if Benn's wraparound had gone in. Really, just lol.

If Benn's wraparound had gone in, that would have been the biggest hold-up in NHL history. I have rarely seen so much difference in a game #7 as I recall. And then yeah... probably a sweep in the round after as the Stars had no energy left.

Gaglardi has to fire Nill after this one, right?

Go look up the remaining money owed to Nill and Monty to help answer why they aren’t getting fired.

That was our “shut down” center Faksa who couldn’t keep up with the guy who made the pass, and our “top” defensemen Klingberg who wasn’t covering anyone at all.

Faksa was already a team worst -7. Now he drops to -8 for the season.
Could of.

Yeah but don’t even think about trading him.

Knowing the Stars they'd bring in Chiarelli. So yes things could be worse at this point.
I'm guessing someone like Hextall would be a good choice.

I don’t know if anyone has made this comparison yet, but Gurianov driving to the net and shoveling the puck along the ice straight into the goalie’s pads reminded me a lot of Val.

I don't think Val would've even generated a rebound.

With his last two leech assists off of Roope, Benn has finally pulled ahead of Oleksiak to lead all Jamies on our team in points.

Also, John Floaty Klingberg is benched.
